Xpert-Timer web — the browser app for Xpert-Timer pro
Xpert-Timer web requires the XTCloudserver as its interface. That interface runs on your Windows server and serves a browser app your staff use to book time — from the PC, from a tablet or from a phone. The two parts talk to each other over a REST interface.
The server works directly on the existing database of Xpert-Timer pro. There is no second data store and no reconciliation: every booking lands straight where the desktop client sees it too.
What Xpert-Timer web adds
Nothing to install on the desktop
A current browser is enough: Windows, macOS, iOS or Android. On a phone the app can be saved as a progressive web app and opens like any other application.
No sync, no waiting
Bookings made in the browser appear in the desktop client at once, and the other way round. There is no sync interval because there is only one database.
Reachable without a VPN
The server can be reachable internally or — if you want that — from outside as well. Staff working from home book their time without dialling into the company network first.
Working time in the browser
Not just project time: clock-in and clock-out, breaks and absences can be booked in the browser as well. This requires a licence for Xpert-Timer works.
Open to your own integrations
The XTCloudserver provides a complete REST interface. How to connect an ERP or CRM to it is described on the XTAPI page.
Scan instead of type
A barcode, QR code or NFC tag on the machine, the object or the job folder: one scan starts the time on the project behind it, the next one stops it. Straight from the browser app, with no list and no keyboard.
The place on the time stamp
If you want it to, the app reads the GPS coordinates when a stamp starts, resolves them into an address and files it with the time stamp. Recording is optional and can be switched off at any time.
Signed on the spot
Have the timesheet signed on a tablet or phone while you are still with the customer, then send it as a PDF. A signed record leaves nothing to argue about once the invoice arrives.
